Hello everyone,

Throwaway account! I have had to step away from my much-loved career due to a rapid decline in health and am undergoing a WCA assessment tomorrow. The prospect of this is making me feel grim to be honest!

I have a whole laundry list of diagnoses and problems, but the main ones from stopping me from working are hEDS (and the main issues from that are my hands - 7 out of 10 of my extensor tendons dislocate and so do both wrists, which means that both hands are in custom splints and I have just 7kg grip in the left - shoulder instability, and SIJ pain), diaphragmatic dysfunction (bilateral - severe fatigue, breathlessness even getting dressed, constant pain in my upper back from only being able to breathe with my chest), and POTS (regular fainting, falls, fatigue, and dizzy spells). I already receive standard living and enhanced mobility from PIP and submitted at least two dozen bits of evidence with my UC50 form.

Does anyone have any tips for the assessment? What kind of questions do they ask? Has anyone with similar conditions been through this? I'm worried that they'll find me fit or "just" LCW even when I'm constantly exhausted and losing function!

I was granted a phone call due to my fatigue and pain from travelling if this helps.

Thank you!
