I wonder if Kyle delaying the divorce will harm her in any case? Normally, it is always better to be the party that strikes first. I wonder if her delaying it, is buying him more time to move assets around and possible hide them e.g. in trusts etc... so they won't be counted in the divorce settlement?
The advantage Sutton had, was Christian underestimated her and the moment he asked for a divorce, she went straight to a forensic accountant that found Christian's hidden assets. That way, he didn't have time to hide any assets or put them in trusts and change the ownership structure.
Sutton said herself she was underestimated and he didn't expect it from her. I do wonder if this is the case with Mauricio and Kyle.
Kyle doesn't like confrontation and has confessed to not knowing about the family's financial accounts. On BBH, their daughters stated that in their house, they don't discuss sensitive topics and just brush it under the rug as much as possible.
I do also think Kyle is tinkering between holding out for Mau 'just in case' while also not wanting to go back there and moving on with her life but regardless of whether you think Kyle wants to go back to Mau or not, it's pretty clear she's unclear and doesn't actually want to get divorced yet. [In the reunion, she stated that she's afraid of him not going on family holidays etc... with them anymore. Although, this to me, sounds like she misses the family dynamic more than she misses him per say].
After watching BBH, it's very clear that Mauricio is a shrewd and clever guy who as Sutton hinted, won't part with his money so easily. I do also believe that Mauricio it trying to delay this divorce as much as possible so he can discuss with is lawyers how to move and restructure his assets so they're less likely to be drawn upon in the divorce. Given that PK himself has been 'bankrupted' so many times yet lives a pretty luxurious life, I don't doubt Mo will be looking to him to share his dodgy business ways so he too can hide as much as legally possible.
Note- Lebron for instance, has done the above. He said in a recent interview that he himself, is technically broke as his money his hidden away in trusts in for his children. In this case, could Mauricio not just place it in trusts under his father or mother's name so it wouldn't technically be his?
Curious to hear thoughts.
