Need advice convincing my parents for a drop year
Not sure if its the right community, im sorry if its not.
Im 18 and planning to pursue my bachelors in Taiwan. I scored above 90 percent throughout high school and this is the first decision I have made completely on my own in academics🥀. Unfortunately the application portal for this fall year has already closed.I have clearly explained my plans and solutions to every concern my parents raised and I also showed them a proper path for my future. The main issue is money. They feel hesitant about sending me abroad, even with scholarships, yet they are willing to spend nearly 30 lakhs if I study in India.I also have a friend who is planning to come with me, so I would not be alone there which makes things feel much more comfortable.I really do not want to give up on this dream. I spent seven years preparing for JEE, and despite all the effort things did not work out in the end. Rn I feel lost and honestly need advice or suggestions on whether there is still something I can do ANYTHING😭🙏.I have asked for a drop year thrice regarding this but they never thought about it, they gave me a direct no lol.
