I had my first appointment with a psychiatrist today and am currently on Escitalopram 20mg. The psychiatrist has now also prescribed me 5mg of olanzapine. Upon research I’ve found this is an antipsychotic and am unsure whether I should hold back from taking it until my next session. I can’t afford to get a second opinion but am curious whether others have been on olanzapine and escitalopram for anxiety and insomnia before and what their experiences have been? TIA (for context they’ve gone with olanzapine due to risks of heart issues with SNRIs)
