3 weeks post retrieval and suddenly spotting?
Has anyone had light brown spotting a couple of weeks after egg retrieval?
I’m about 3 weeks post retrieval and have ongoing light brown spotting when wiping today. It’s not enough to fill a pad and there’s no heavy bleeding, but I’m confused because everything I find online only talks about spotting immediately after retrieval, not weeks later.
I did get my period (it stopped on Tuesday, so 4 days ago) already after the retrieval, so this isn’t my first bleed since the procedure.
I’ve had persistent ovary/pelvic pain since the retrieval. I had an ultrasound on Wednesday and my doc said everything looked good, but I had many cysts on my ovaries which could explain the ongoing pain.
Did anyone else experience delayed brown spotting after IVF retrieval? Did your clinic say it was hormonal/normal, or did it end up being something that needed follow-up? Trying not to spiral.
Editing to add - I’m doing a freeze all cycle, so no possible pregnancy.
