I've been trying to ID this plant for a long time. SW Pennsylvania, zone 6B

I've been trying to ID this plant on and off for quite a while. Its a perrennial ground-cover, growing in part shade. The first image is from last spring. Its the only picture I have of the yellow flowers it gets (slugs ate the rest in that photo). The 2nd and 3rd images are from yesterday. The bulbs you see obviously are what will open up into the flowers.

Other than that:

- It flowers in the spring

- It usually dies back in the summer (although, im not sure if thats just because I haven't been watering it enough in the summer).

- I haven't dug it up, but I suspect it spreads via underground runners
