Hud. (Original title Horseman, Pass By). Larry McMurtry. Popular Library 60-2130, 1961. Movie tie-in with Paul Newman and Patricia Neal.

As a side note: Patricia Neal was married to Roald Dahl. Her film career was why they and their children were in Los Angeles. I was told this is why James and the Giant Peach, & Charlie and the Chocolate Factory were published in the U.S. years before they were published in England.

Had to post this since it was published almost 20 years before the world wide web was created and seems so outdated. My guess is that most people would not understand the reference to punch cards in the title.

Leonard Baskin was a sculptor, graphic artist and founder of Gehenna Press.

Early in Edward Gorey's career he worked for Doubleday Anchor providing cover illustrations and typography.

Both Baskin and Gorey passed away in 2000.
