I have loved watching people mod the Macbook Neo to squeeze out more performance from those little machines. I will soon be needing to use my Laptop 7 with a docking station at a desk for some time - so was thinking of a simple mod in the same fashion I have seen people mod the Macbook Neo but wanted some advice. I was thinking of adding a thermal pad onto the highlighted piece of copper from the image to create a thermal bridge between the copper and the case. I was then going to place the cooling pad from this product (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FNR614KV?ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_fed\_asin\_title&th=1) on the case at the location of the thermal pad.

Just placing the cooling device onto the case at this location without the thermal pad gave me about 7-8% more performance on Cinebench, which makes me think there is more to be gained with better thermal bridging.

Thoughts before I tear open my machine and ruin it?
