Question is what are the limits of asphalts on steep roads? What % grade is the limit of the machines to lay and roll it to compaction? Is the limit the paving machine or the trucks to haul in materials? Assuming it’s a challenge to pave on gradient do yall find it a fun challenge or is a slog to just get thru it?
I’ve seen quite a few driveways and private roads that are just as steep as the staircase / concrete slab roads of SF. Just curious how steep can it go?
As a skateboarder I’m eternally grateful for all the beautiful mountains roads I’ve gotten to ride down.
Our community is almost at 100mph record for standup riders. There will be a road built one day that lets us break that barrier.
