Has anyone had any success?

Hello, I felt like writing today to ask other people, what if any success they've had in obtaining proof that your ancestors were victims of discrimination, had their citizenship stripped away from them, lost everything they owned, or discovered evidence they were deported to a concentration camp? If anyone here is willing to share how it felt to discover a shocking tragedy in your family history, please feel free to make a comment. Thank you.

Hello everyone, I am in the processing of collecting family genealogical records to support my claim for German citizenship by descent. I live in Germany. I wondered if anyone was willing to share their experiences in light of the recent changes to German citizenship law regarding gender discrimination.

My grandmother (sadly passed away several years ago) originally came from East Prussia and she relocated to West Germany and later emigrated to the United States. She never became a naturalized U.S. citizen, as far as I know. How can I obtain these document records and what documents should I look for to support my family research project? Any suggestions might be helpful. Thank you.
