So was doing a window shopping day at hamley’s where I was trying to search for something in hotwheels , ended asking staff and one of them mentioned they had some in the counter, Turns out they had a full bag and when I say bag it was a huge sack filled with premiums and these Mario kart sets.
When I was perusing the bat another employee came running telling me it “on hold “ for a customer . At this point I was baffled that this is even being done by Hamleys over a 100 cars, being kept aside while there are no hot wheels available on their shelves.
I ended up telling him that i just want 1-2 pieces and that is complain to hamleys about this under table deals of “on hold “ for customers the guy finally backed off and vanished in the aisles.
Now in the whole sack i managed to identify atleast 3 of these Mario’s i bought one for me and another for a friend and right behind me another dude purchased the third mario leaving all the other in the sack.
I know its not a spicy story but being able to mess with the scalper by removing only Mario’s definitely did sweeten the deal
