As the title says, I’m about 30% finished with my MBA and I’m curious/considering dropping and waiting until I have more work experience as I keep reading that an MBA without significant experience is a bust.
For the sake of argument, let’s say my program will allow me to come back later and keep my progress (I don’t know if this is the case, but I want some “unbiased” opinions)
My background is a Finance bachelor 3.5gpa , and then immediately began my MBA afterwards. I currently hold a 4.0 in my mba program. The reason I began my MBA immediately was due to the job market issues surrounding my area of financial analytics.
I still have concerns about the job market but I’d rather not postpone work if the MBA isn’t going to make a large impact.
I do enjoy school/learning and have no problem going back, I doubt the MBA will be my final destination as I’m looking at CPA/CFA in the future as well.
So, Pause MBA for experience? What are your thoughts on benefits of experienced individuals getting an MBA later in careers vs the benefits of entering the market with the MBA?
Thanks for all your help!
Edit: my original question was not worded properly
