Pay difference and tips
I’m going to be starting at Home Depot tomorrow for my orentstion! I’m very excited but I do have some concerns
When I first got the offer is was called a “ contingent job offer: Lumber Costumer Service associate “ for Like 16.50 an hour. This is the highest I’ve ever gotten paid anywhere so I was very excited!
But after I did my walk through I was asked questions about my past work history from the AM and she bluntly told me I was not fit for the role. Wich is fine I didn’t really mind I knew nothing about lumber anyway!
After she told me I would be unfit for the role the GM actually wanted to speak to me! She said she loved my energy and how upbeat I was about everything I was asked and gave me a new position of “ Customer service desk “!
I don’t really care what role I do but is there a pay difference? And are there any tips I can do to make sure I don’t just fumble about and make everyone’s job harder?
