They’re a Barred Rock, about 6 weeks old and I bought them as a laying hen however I’m unsure if they are? Any help is appreciated!

I’m in my second year, about to go back to school for third soon. I’ve worked for 2 contractors so far and both were smaller companies, the first had about 20 guy total and had a culture problem with rampant bullying which is whatever but the work was good experience, my current company only has about 10 guy on the tool total which has allowed me to get a wider array of experience which is a positive, however I’m feeling kind of burnt out as I have more responsibility and they almost treat me as another JW since I’m the only apprentice at a table of older JW’s. All the guys have been at the company for most of their careers so I also feel some of the safety and regulations that we as a union should be enforcing can get lost in the mix as they are all loyal to the boss and company rather than the union, I get a mix of work which is good, and i don’t mind the guys. Though they are kind of an odd bunch since they’ve all worked together for so long and kind of just accepted each others quirks and I guess I’m the odd man out since I’m the new kid even though I’ve been here awhile, but the tools are old and crappy and there isn’t enough of them so everyone is running around stealing drills and saws from each others sites, the bosses are constantly worried about money and hours on jobs even tho we are getting about 2 maybe 3 guys max per job, My problem is I’m not sure if I should just tough it out and stay here, or move on to a larger company so I can get that experience and possibly a bit less pressure on me.
