Hello everyone i have couple question
*GM born in germany in 1939
*Father born abroad in 1968 (in wedlock)
* GM ans Gf got divorced 74 and GM went back to germany.my father stayed with mu Gf
* GM got my fathers staatsangehörigkeit durch erklarung in 1978
*İ was born abroad in 1994 in wedlock
So my fathers last german pass was in 1991 (he had a pass when inwas born)
So, last week we went to german konsulat with my father ( they didnt let me in :() to renew his pass. He talked about my situation and they said i can make an appointment for reisepass . So this week i made apoointment and submitted my documents.
The questions are;
*Germany has constantly changed its laws regarding dual citizenship; is there a possibility that my father lost his citizenship in the last 30 years? (No voluntary military service and no other citizenship)
*The consulate accepted my father's and my documents and told us the passports would arrive in 6 weeks. Does this involve any further evaluation by the BVA or other authorities? Is it possible to apply for a passport and then be asked for a Feststellung process later?
