Is it realistic to drive from MA to La Fortuna with a stop at Poas Volcano, in a single day? What is the realistic drive time? We are visiting for 8 days in early May. Our first stop is MA where we drive to after landing at SJO around noon. Spend 2 days, before driving to La Fortuna. This is the only opportunity to visit Poas Volcano.
I was thinking, we could leave MA by 7am, and get to Poas by 10:30/11. Planning to book 11am entry for the volcano. After spending an hr or so, we leave for La Fortuna and hopefully we get there between 5 and 6pm.
Am I being realistic?
