Hello all my fellow travelers!!!
My (36) husband (62) and I go on vacation once a year with just us and go to an all inclusive. We have not the past two years because he was diagnosed with cancer and my young son got very sick. Everything is leveling out, his treatment is complete and I want to surprise him.
We have only done Sandals resorts and we haven't been happy the last few times we have gone. Clothes of mine went missing after a cleaning, my adult step son got food poisoning from sushi and the refused to acknowledge it and just other things we aren't happy with.
I am planning it for right after Christmas so end of December. We like to play beach volleyball, swim in the pool/sit at pool bar, and just chill. We do enjoy the activities put on by the resorts such as competitions between couples, etc. We do not travel off the resort.
We own a business and life is hectic, we really just love to be lazy and drink on our vacation. (Neither of us are big drinkers in real life)
Scrolling through this for a bit it seems as if Excellence and Secrets are some of the top choices here.
We are looking for an all inclusive, adult only resort. We stay for 5 nights and my budget would be up to $10,000.
I would love to hear all of your favorite places and places to stay away from. I tried to open the documents on the subreddit but they wouldn't load.
