Do buyers actually trust photos anymore? (Asking as a seller)

I’ve been selling off some of my doubles on Discogs and it’s made me realise how weird the current trust situation is. Buyers ask for photos, I send them, but there’s no way for them to know I didn’t pull the images from the web or that the record still looks that way three months later when they finally pay.

I’ve also had one dodgy listing (not mine) arrive as a reissue sold under an original pressing ID - something photos alone wouldn’t have prevented.

Genuine question for sellers and buyers:

1.	Do you trust seller-provided photos?

2.	Has anyone actually been burned by photos not matching the record received?

3.	Would timestamped / verified photos actually matter to you as a buyer, or is it the kind of thing nobody cares about until something goes wrong?

Feels like the whole secondary market runs on vibes and we all just hope the seller is honest.
