Ive read enough to know what the issue probably is, most likely the purge valve. And while I do not claim to know anything about mechanics (and admittedly probably couldn't do it myself), $185 for just a diagnosis seems ridiculous.
Any advice on if I could just check and see for myself, or maybe if I should look for a less shady mechanic?
