Stolen Id While Traveling
Hi all, I am in a bit of a situation. My last name is hyphenated legally but not on my ID. I am out of state and my wallet was stolen. I am traveling home on Friday and my state cannot send me a new drivers license to anywhere but my residential address. My last name is legally hyphenated however my state required me to choose which last name would show on my ID and would not put my hyphenated last name. I book my flights using the last name on my ID. I know I can probably get on my flight using ConfirmID but I’m not sure if I should pay under my full legal name or the name on my boarding pass. I was wondering if anyone here might have any advice for which last name I should use to avoid complications. When I see legal name, I’m assuming the name that is on my social security card, which is my hyphenated name. I have pictures of my drivers license, social security card, and birth certificate to bring with me in case.
