Ogre Kingdoms - Skissue & Need Help
Playing Warhammer for the first time in 3+ years and decided to go with my guy Greasus because I love ogres.
My tiny kingdom spans from the firemouth to the dragon-isles, and at turn 79 I am currently the 10th strongest faction out of 80 which I feel like isn't good for a player.
To the East is a grand coalition of Cathay and the Brass Wizard, to the North and most of the West is Grimgor Ironhide, who is the #2 world power.
I tried attacking Greenskins because I figured I could lightning strike them and snag their valley settlements, but alas my efforts were in vain as the Waaaaagh! 40-unit doomstacks descended upon me.
I watched in horror as my Mournfangs, Thundertusks, and Ironguts route from waves of arrowfire. This army, which had defeated Herman and Kugath, was routed by Greenskins. Even my 4 units of leadbelchers, which racked me up thousands of kills across battles, couldn't handle the horde.
I ended loading an old save from before the war, I'm the problem I know and yes it is a skill issue on my part. Did I wait too long to deal with Grimgor? Does he need to be snuffed out early? How could I do better in the future or what units should I utilize more? I can provide any information if there are further questions.
