Declined PIP Claim
Hello, I need some advice on my problem. Sorry for the long post in advance.
I have been denied a PIP claim. I was given:
Daily Living : 4 points
Mobility : 4 points
I am not sure if it can be appealed or not. I have a fractured ankle that has healed incorrectly with a deformity due to medical negligence. And this deformity does not allow me to walk for more than 10 minutes or sit on my feet, maximum 15 minutes after which my foot loses sensitivity and pain that goes up the entire thigh begins. Also, as a result, for the next 2/3 days my foot is swollen and I am in constant pain if I try to walk for more than 15 minutes. I was told that this is going to be for life by the diagnosing orthopedics specialist, my ankle is inflamed 24/7 due to the deformity. There is a operation that can be done, but only 30% chance of success. Also high chance the surgeon mighr decline doing it because it is a difficult procedure.
My daily life is hectic, to say the least. It takes me too much time to manage with daily habits and tasks. Some of which are almost impossible. I cannot shop by myself, I also cannot work due to this condition.
I am giving you the short description of the matter, but it is much more to be said if needed.
I need an opinion. I don't think this decision is right. But at the same time I don't have enough information to know if it is right or not? Is the decision right or can I appeal is my question, what do you guys think?
Any opinions or advice given would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
