28 (F) currently bed bound, desperate for advice on diagnosis
Hey all, I’m looking for some advice/guidance as I’m really struggling and have been bed bound for months. I have diagnosed PCOS but it just doesn’t explain the fatigue and the pain.
I was on the pill for 10 years, came off to try and regulate my hormones naturally but a few months later all hell broke loose. It’s been 3 years since then and I’m no closer to knowing what’s wrong. The NHS have been so unhelpful, months between appointments with no treatment or support. I’ve tried literally everything to feel better. I’m desperate, my quality of life has disappeared💔
Before going on the pill I had heavy periods and would pass out or throw up at school from the pain. My periods were okay on the pill but have become so debilitating, as is the pain during ovulation and the fatigue is awful.
The doctors are now trying to diagnose me with Fibromyalgia but I’m just not convinced. My Mum has endo and ended up having a full hysterectomy at 35, they tried to tell her she had ME.
I have a referral to gynaecology with the NHS but there are currently no appointments and the estimated time for being seen for a scan is 200 days. Should I go private? Is it worth it? How much can I expect to spend on a diagnostic scan in London? I just want some sort of a life back 😭
Sending love to anyone going through something similar x
