Skillet flaking from the bottom. What would you do?
I've been using this skillet for around 5-6 years and the seasoning has gradually started to flake from the bottom. This entire time I've only used it on gas stoves and have seasoned it using canola oil. Should I try to completely strip the seasoning from the bottom somehow or just keep adding seasoning to even it out? The cooking side is well seasoned with no issues. I know the skillet is "factory seasoned" and I think the flaking is happening all the way until bare metal.
