Good battery drained to zero in only a few hours. Nothing on in the car and no shorts that I can find easily.
After jumping I noticed this whine coming from the radio through a Bluetooth transmitter. Clearly it's caused by surges in the voltage from the alternator. My is do you think this indicates the 12v transmitter caused that much of a draw on the battery while the car was off? If so it would have to be due to a fault in the transmitter as it has been in use for years. Plus the outlet shouldn't be receiving any power when the car is off (it isn't right now). Maybe even an issue with the radio? Sometimes the clock numbers brighten and fade with the alternator too. Although the clock and radio are separate units. I have disconnected them before for a separate issue, maybe there is a bad connection from when I put them back in?
