On English language Wikipedia as of this morning, the front page article is all about the hot battle between pro- and anti-shippers in the fandom community:

This line from the lede is telling:
"The discourse has been most prevalent among the younger, heavily LGBTQ fan communities on websites such as Tumblr and Archive of Our Own."
I have to wonder if queer kids are capable of doing anything that doesn't degenerate into a cesspool of language policing and horizontal hostility.
