I didn't understand it when you told me
Not through lack of trying
But this feeling

To know how what it's like

The feeling that although you know your you

Like life is moving on and your just watching
Looking down on your own body
Only feeling tethered through pain
And that just what you did
And now me too
I didn't cut myself today
And most may say that's good
I'm getting better

More giving up
No more pain to connect my mind and body
Just looking over
Feeling like a bystander in my own life
A spirit watching the living
Knowing that it's no longer my time
To walk among them
