My Tcs Interview experience

Hi I'm from West Bengal.I started my BTech in 2021 but due to a medical reason i got a year lag and I'm currently in my final year which extends my BTech to 5 years. So, this happened to me a month ago and i was lowkey trying to forget it but it still comes in my mind and i start thinking how unlucky I am.But today i couldn't hold up as i keep seeing people's post here about their joining letters i feel good for them.

So i had my Tcs Nqt 2026 exam on 26th of march and on 2nd april i got the mail for selecting the tcs office for the next round and on the very next day that is 3rd April i got the mail that i was shortlisted for Digital role and for me it was legit a very big moment. As i am from a tier 3 college where the placement scenario is just up to sales those BDA roles and customer service and cracking Tcs was always in my wishlist.

So then on the 8th i had my interview at the Kolkata Tcs office, for that i went to Kolkata on the 7th and booked a hotel so that everything would be smooth the next day.The next day happens i got up early wore my new formal clothes with shoes i literally bought them for the interview only this is how excited and happy i was.

And then i went to the office and in the screening phase they asked me about my year gap and i had a year gap that is my BTech is of 5 years it started in 2021 and currently I'm in the final year final semester. The person who was screening looked to me for a second and asked me the reason and then he called his colleagues to discuss and then he said sorry we can't move forward with you Ayush. And literally i was shocked i said why what but u allow 24 months of year gap and he said yes but you have a running one. Then i was asked to leave i wasn't even interviewed🫠.

I took my friend with me for the interview he was in the room that time and when i went i cried like a baby and he consoled me but i couldn't stop 🫠.

I'm still unemployed but this hunt battle isn't over 👊💪.

Yes seeing all these posts receiving the joining letters makes me happy 🫶🏻.

I wish no one ever gets this situation in his/her life.

Peace out.🕊️
