Hi, I live in Southeast Asia and travel pretty much every weekend in the counrtyside, so I’m trying to figure out what pants work best for this kind of lifestyle. The challenge is that it’s usually hot and humid, but shorts aren’t always ideal because I still want protection from: sun, pollution (especially in big cities) and mosquitoes.

I’ve tried lighter technical/travel pants, but a lot of them feel a bit flimsy or don’t age well. Plus not my style.

My current favorites are:

  • a pair of Momotaro heavy oxford, dyed with sulfur (picture)
  • a pair of Fullcount denim

They sound too heavy on paper, but I like how durable they are, how they age, and they somehow still work for me while traveling. It is cotton so easy to clean because it gets dusty quickly.

Curious what everyone else wears in similar climates. Would love recommendations (brands, fabrics, style...)

PS : the slippers are from Weston, they are like 50 years old (got them from my father) and they are my current travel shoes.

Hello, so this is my 3rd try for a baguette with my 2 month old starter.

250g Flour (12g protein)
140g Water
100g Starter
4g salt

Mix flour and water, then let it rest for 20 minutes.

Add the starter and salt, then mix for 4 minutes.

Let it rest for 30 minutes, then fold the dough.

Let it rest for 1 hour, then fold again.

Let it rest for 3 hours, until it doubles in size. Then put it in the fridge for 8 hours.

In the morning, cut the dough in two, shape each piece into a rectangle, roll it up, then shape into baguettes. (learned this from a baker in France)

Bake for 25 minutes at 230°C.

I am based in Vietnam, right now it is 35°C and 70-80% humidity. I don't really use AC.

Thanks for the feedback!
