I’m working on a done-for-you service that helps small local businesses recover missed calls.

When a business misses a call, the customer gets an instant text asking what they need. The system collects the basic details and sends the owner a clean request.

I’m focusing on businesses like auto repair shops, moving companies, contractors, and home service businesses where one missed call can mean a lost job.

I’m curious from actual owners: when you miss calls, do people usually leave voicemails and wait, or do they just call the next company?

Talking to a few local business owners lately and almost all of them admit they miss calls constantly. Customer calls, no answer, customer calls the next guy.

Is there a standard way people handle this or does everyone just accept it as part of the deal?
