My dogs love my neighbors dogs and we would love to build a little dog door in our chain link fence so we can easily let the dogs back and forth when we desire, but closed when we want. Has anyone made a little doggy door in a chain link?

We have a vapor barrier that was installed because of a radon system placed before we moved in. We had a leak at one point a couple years ago and the mitigation people cut out a huge section of the barrier so it’s honestly probably useless for radon since we have not had it repaired and it’s just got a giant section missing. But that is beside the point. Our sump pump came unplugged last night and leaked all up under the vapor barrier that remains…. We have had water come from the sump before and it just seeped back into the dirt of the crawl like it never happened, but now with it under this vapor barrier I am worried that it will just trap the moisture and not allow it to evaporate? Or will it just seep into the dirt of the crawl just like the other areas did? We put a dehumidifier down there and that is helping dry things up but I am just not sure about the stuff under the barrier. Is it likely to get moldy?? I just don’t really understand how vapor barriers work and seem to see mixed reviews on Reddit. Some say should be dry underneath, some say it’s normal for it to get damp during wet weather. But I am not sure what even applies when we only have a half finished barrier that is not even sealed on all sides.

I don’t know why I find this so confusing but I do. When we exposed our rim joist in preparation for ledger board, there was not really any house wrap on the rim joist. Is it normal that the house wrap ended above the rim joist? Or should this have been covered with house wrap originally? Should we add additional house wrap now and put the rim joist over that and then of course do all the flashing stuff? I guess where I get confused is that I see something about tucking the ledger board under the bottom edge of the house wrap… but if the house wrap is just flat over the whole rim joist how are you supposed to do that since the house wrap would really end underneath the ledger board right? I feel like I am not getting something…

We are constructing a new deck to replace the old floating one. Contractor took off the old siding today and found this bit of rot. I think it looks a little worse in this photo tbh…We wacked around with a hammer and prodded and it is hard. The very surface of it is a little scratchy but otherwise hard. We will be removing the stoop that you see. Assuming (and hoping) that the rot is no worse in the area behind the stoop… would it be safe to spray with bleach and carry on? The contractor seemed to think it was okay, but said he could replace if we would feel more comfortable. If it is necessary, is this something I can trust a contractor that pretty much mostly does decks and is like a single guy on his own, or should I hire a company that specializes in replacing rim joists and such? If I have to do that… does anyone have any idea how much something like that would cost for this small section? Everything else looked fine, I really want it to be okay but also don’t want to pay the price later.
