TLDR- delivery agent gave a fake item, amazon customer care asked to self ship the product which they refuse to accept and now they are denying the refund saying invalid receipt
So, my sister purchased a vaccum cleaner from amazon. She is in Bangalore. So, people staying in Bangalore will know how the delivery agent dont deliver the product to the flat if the package is paid. So that’s why she did COD. Now, the next day when the order came, the deliver agent said that it’s a COD order so give me cash. My sister asked if this is the first time he is doing a COD order and asked him for the QR code which he reluctantly gave and then my sister paid him. Since she was alone and had a crying baby at that time with her, she didn’t look much into the product and paid. Now, when she took the order in, she felt it was very light so she made a video and opened it. In the box it was a sofa mat. She tried calling the delivery agent but he didn’t pick up. The delivery agent didn’t mark the product as delivered in amazon till 7 pm. After that he marked it as customer refused delivery. She talked to the amazon customer care. First they were not agreeing but then because on the sofa mat which he delivered he had placed the invoice of amazon, they reluctantly agreed and asked her to do self shipping to their warehouse in Bangalore. This was 15 days ago. Today she got the email, that the receiver refused to accept the product. Since they were busy, I tried talking to the amazon customer care. They responded with till the time we don’t get the product, we can’t refund. I have provided the receipt of DTDC which they are saying that it is invalid.
