UCLA, UCI, or Cal?
I’m honestly pretty torn on which school to pick. I feel extremely fortunate to have these options, but I’ve narrowed it down to three, and each one has a major pro and con. I currently live in LA, but I really want to move out and experience living on my own. If I go to UCLA, I most likely wouldn’t be able to move out, which is a big downside for me. I do have friends at UCLA, though, so socially it would still be a great option. If I go to UCI, I would be able to move out, and I also have friends there, but I feel like the education and prestige might take a bit of a hit compared to UCLA or Berkeley. Berkeley is also really tempting because I would get to move out, and it’s the #1 public university. The only thing is that it’s farther than I’ve ever been from home, and I don’t really have friends up there. I’m pretty sociable, so I’m not too worried about making friends, but the distance and starting over still make me nervous along if my friends would be any good yk.
What do you guys think? Which option would you choose in my situation?
