▲ 3 r/HipImpingement
I’m so frustrated. 38 y/o female. All of this started from a car accident. Now I have all of these diagnosis that “likely would have caused issues within five years”. Prior to the accident I ran and lifted weights daily with zero hip pain. Now just walking at work leaves me hurting. Anything like yard work or housework leaves my hip throbbing for days. A scope with labral repair may not be successful though is what I’ve been told, I’m in a grey area. I can do a hip replacement but if I return to running, it will wear out sooner with no real idea of how much sooner. I’m not ready to call it quits on running. Anyone else been through this and had any success with a repair?
