A gradient of light, medium, dark, and extra dark blackening on steel samples. A series of samples done recently for a client. These are on cold rolled steel finished to a 220 orbital then blackened with a cold patina solution. They are burnished to the correct shade then sealed with a lacquer. In this case it’s a nitrocellulose lacquer mixed to a satin with matting agent. Anyone else get asked for samples constantly?
