Just won’t go away :(
I have had a hemorrhoid for about 2 months now, and it has truly disrupted my quality of life. I’ve cried multiple times and I genuinely cannot take it anymore.
At first- I tried Prep H, which only fixed the symptoms for a few days then all the pain came right back. Then- I decided to see my first primary care physician (I was in a foreign country, so couldn’t see my usual doc). This doctor gave me lidocaine, which numbed the pain for a week then it just swelled up again. The second doctor told me I had internal hemorrhoids, and gave me antibiotic suppositories which, again, helped temporarily.
Now that I’m back home, my actual doctor told me that it was an EXTERNAL hemorrhoid and gave me hydrocortisone suppositories. I have had some relief with these, but I can literally feel the symptoms coming back as I am about to end these. She says that my hemorrhoid is too small and cannot be operated on. I saw her during a time when it wasn’t fully hurting/swollen, but this cycle has genuinely destroyed my mental health.
I’ve been eating fiber, I have BM every morning within 1 minute of sitting. I also do sitz baths twice a day. These also only provide temporary relief.
I cannot work on my desk for prolonged periods, I cannot workout, I cannot even incline walk without wanting to cry. I have genuinely quit everything and am just laying down. I start grad school in 2 months and am TERRIFIED.
All I want is to go back to moving and being active without having to think twice about causing pain. Please- if anyone has ANYTHING. Home remedy, OTC medication, literally anything- please let me know. I am in pain and so so worried :(
