as the title says this is a rough idea/outline for a warlock subclass based on discord from my little pony, speicificly MLP:FiM/Gen 4 of mlp, this would be a mix of wild magic and some more chaotic choices too, also if you decide to make this could you port it to dnd beyond? thanks anyway if you don't
Level 3: Discord sees potential
Flavor text: Discord has taken a liking to your chaotic tendices, and has gifted you his favor
(must be a chaotic alignment to take this subclass)
Actual effect: at 3rd level when you cast a level 1 spell or above you roll a d4 even if the spell fails, if it lands on a 4 nothing happens, if it lands on one of the other 3 numbers you must roll on one of the following tables:
1: murphy's law table (only bad effects)
2: just another day (basic wild magic table)
3: lady luck's favor (only good things)
all tables are d100 tables
Level 3: the tables
just a diffrent section with the 3 tables
Level 6: discord aproves
Flavor text: thanks to the chaos you have spread you have been given a way to control the chaos you cause a bit
Actual effect: when casting a level 4 or higher spell you can remove one table from the possiblities but at the cost of having to flip a coin with either the two remaining tables, witht the effects doubled for what you roll
Level 10: Chaos is plentiful
Flavor text: you have caused so much chaos around you that you are being rewarded with more abilities
Actual effect: you get a pool of chaos dice which equal your cha mod + your prof mod, when ever you expend one of these dice you can choose a d10 area on your last used table and roll a d10, then what ever effect is rolled is tripled and spread to the 5 closest creatures to you if it is a self effecting effect
level 14: Discord's disiple
Flavor text: you have actually been training to become discord's replacement as a being of chaos, as such you have been given the ability to absorb some of his chaos magic
Actual effect: once per short rest you can take of your chaos magic form while in this state you get the following
- X amount of extra spells slots where X is equal to your Cha mod + Prof mod
- A flying and swim speed equal to your Cha mod x your Prof mod
- no need for air, eating or sleep
- immunity to charm based spells
- resistance to non-magical attacks of any kind
- a X range foot teleportation that can be used every 5 turns for free (Xx is double your walk speed)
- a hp pool of xd12+con x cha mods wherew x is your warlock level (must be rolled when ever form is taken )
- a new chaos table that is rolled every time you cast a spell cantrips count, this table is a d100 table that is way more chaotic and is more inline with what discord can do in the show
- your size becomes 2 bigger then it was when you took this form
- your time in the form doubles if there are more then 3 chaos events happening at once
- once you reach 20th level you can enter this form when ever, and you can choose what table you roll on and alter what half of the table you roll on(upper or lower 50), and who it effects, and the teleport is every turn and doubles
you can only be in this form for x rounds and can't enter it again intill you take a short rest
(X is 10 + every level above 14 till level 20)
let me know if this is a good subclass idea/rough draft, if i had more time on my hands i would try to make this into reality
