Myquals: 12th Passout (Humanities Stream) 84% from NIOS. Preparing for CUET-UG 2026

Hello Everyone, as you can see I have completed my class 12th from NIOS implying that I had to do complete self study in my class 10th and 12th (both done from NIOS). Earlier before class 10th while studying in regular schooling i wanted to give up on studies as a whole and drop out of the school even before completing 10th, but I gave 10th anyway and failed then I joined NIOS — the self study environment with no pressure of school really ignited the interest in me for the subjects i was studying and my academic confidence increased.

Long story short, now I have a deep interest in social sciences and I'll be pursuing Psychology Hons in my Bachelor's Degree preferably from Delhi University.

I tried to learn research in class 12th because I had a chapter on research methodology in Sociology and Psychology which made me interested in research but due to lack of resources and guidance i couldn't do anything but have good command on academic language, writing skills as well as fundamentals of social science research methodology.

I want to build a proper research portfolio of mine during my Bachelor's Degree itself so I can build strong research skills, and apply for a master's degree in some other university that's out of India.

For which, I need guidance. My interest of field is basically Critical Psychology — the interaction between Society/cultural aspects and Psychology of an individual and psychotherapy/psychopathology. Also in the intersection of Psychology and Arts. I am already working on reading texts to build foundations for the given interests.

Edit: I'll be pursuing MA Clinical Psychology (RCI) to get a license to practice as a clinician as well. Adding this for a much nuanced context.

So, I want to take admission into BA/BSc Psychology Hons. I will be appearing for CUET-UG but things seem to be a bit off for CUET hence I want some backup plans.

I'm looking for an affordable and reputable college in the Delhi-NCR region that offers the course.

I wouldn't mind if I have to move to the other states, but Delhi-NCR is the region I'm targeting.

You can also drop college names (govt) that take admissions without CUET UG

Amity is really costly and their scholarship doesn't offer continuation.

Please drop some good recommendations.

So, today since the city allotments were released. I have been really nervous.

I'm physically sick of being able to go to another state for the examination which is so far away from my hometown. My own city was literally eligible for the examination centre yet, even though I'm from UP i got a centre in Punjab.

I just physically and financially can't afford to go that far. I have seen people asking all of us to chill down but the problem is many of us don't have the privilege to be able to get admission into a private college, or simply travel this far for an examination.

I don't have any way out, at almost 4 AM I'm still unable to sleep, because if I don't give this exam I'll be stuck in this place with no opportunities, taking a drop year doesn't even make sense since NTA might repeat this thing again next year.

I don't know what to do anymore.

I HAVE e-mailed them, will be calling them as many times as I can in the morning. Just hope they make revisions. I don't mind going two three cities away BUT A WHOLE STATE AWAY?

I can't sleep, I have yet to study, on top of that I'm physically sick.
