Hi everyone, I’m preparing to launch BetaLog, a climbing app built to help climbers keep a cleaner record of their sessions, routes, and progress over time.
BetaLog is focused on the core parts of climbing that are easy to lose track of: what you climbed, where you climbed, how a session went, and the videos and notes attached to each attempt.
The current version is built around a few practical workflows:
- log climbs and sends
- track personal progress over time
- save and organize gyms
- import climbing videos from your library
- use Smart Scan to find climbing videos faster
- add route details like grade, color, attempts, tags, and notes
- manually log climbs when there is no video
The goal is not to make climbing more complicated. It is to give climbers a clearer, more organized way to keep their history in one place.
BetaLog is still in its pre-launch stage, and I’m sharing it early to start the conversation with climbers who care about tracking their sessions more intentionally.
If this sounds useful to you, I’d love to hear how you currently log your climbing and what you would want from a tool like this before launch.
