Question about multi-room speaker system in house
I’m not as familiar with connecting huge speaker systems built into houses, but I’m trying to help an older couple with their speaker system built into a house they bought.
They have a huge house with speakers built into the ceilings in multiple rooms, upstairs and downstairs. They’d like to be able to use the speakers in the living room with the TV that is above this panel, while also being able to listen to music on the speakers throughout the house.
I thought they would need a large multi-channel AV receiver like the Onkyo TX-RZ30, which they are willing to invest in. But I’m not 100% if that’s correct, or what cables they need.
The cables that are coming out of the wall in the photo must connect to something but I’m not sure what. I’m guessing they connect to a TV upstairs since a large TV just above this panel has a similar bundle of cables.
Would they need an AV receiver like I mentioned or something else? It would just be for TV sound and music, but there’s so many I have no idea what can control that many rooms. Any help would be appreciated!
