I’m in a bit of a unique situation and wanted some perspective.
I have around ₹5 lakh that I want to invest for my daughter’s future. She’s about 10 years old, but she doesn’t live with me and I currently don’t have contact with her. My hope is that someday we reconnect, and I want to have a meaningful corpus ready for her when that happens.
I also plan to keep adding money regularly over time (SIP).
My dilemma is this:
Given all the current geopolitical uncertainty, inflation concerns, etc., I’m worried about investing a lump sum now and then seeing a market crash soon after.
I understand this is a long-term goal (likely 10–15+ years), but still want to get some perspective on this.
If not SIP what other options should i explore?
