Hello! I am probably having the biggest monitor upgrade for a person going from my DellP2214H to an OLED. which is probably the max of my budget. Im just wondering if its worth spending 250$ more than a decent IPS if I wont be fully utilizing the refresh rate. additionally while I am looking for something that will last for a long time Im wondering if I should just wait and be happy with a good IPS then get an OLED when its cheaper heres my use cases if this factors anything

  • Playing PC games at 1440p 120FPS
  • Playing games on my Switch 2
  • couch Co-op games
  • Casual browsing, Watching Videos, studying
  • coding and working with Data sets

my rooms also relatively dark , 250 nits max brightness is more than enough for me. I am also rather sensitive to the backlight bleed. If I dont get the OLED I might use the left over money to upgrade my peripherals. really just wondering which situation is worth it. use it for 6 years happily or get a good IPS then buy a better OLED 4 years later with a stronger PC.
OLED monitor Im looking to buy: Koorui S2721XO (reviews say VRR and Gsync aren't great)
if anyone can give me some advice on what I should do that would be awesome thanks in advance!
