Home Remedies

22F I have pilonidal disease that I first got when I was 17. The two times I had it before I was able to get it drained, but last week I had another flare up for the first time in three years. I managed to catch it extremely early that when I went to the ER, she said it couldn't be drained and they did an ultrasound but found no fluid.

They gave me amoxicillin and a consultation with the general surgeon for June, but I've never had a surgery before and really, really do not want to get one. I was wondering if anyone had any luck with any home remedies that made it go away for good?

I work an office job so that's really the only time I feel discomfort. I've been using tea tree oil which has helped so much with pain but I don't really see it going down and I finished the amoxicillin yesterday. It's like 1cm right now. I also take 2-3 showers daily, but was there anything else I could do? Or does anyone know how long it might take for it to heal?
