Is Nass the clear best player in the world when you consider 1s, 2s, and 3s?

After watching Nass body Nwpo and Vatira in straight sweeps back to back on Feer's stream the other day, I couldn't help wonder if he is the best overall player in the world right now. I still have nightmares of his performance against Vitality in Boston. As I am typing this post, he is number 1 in both 1s and 2s leaderboard (he is ahead by almost a 100 MMR in 2s).

So what do you guys think? Is Nass currently the clear best player in the world in all three game modes? Who was the last player that could make this argument? I guess Zen 2023? How many players could we realistically argue for in the history of this esport who were the best in the world in each mode simultaneously?

How long before the likes Zen and Nwpo become second tier players mechanically?

Watching Jstn balling this split made me realise just how insane he still is mechanically. A lot of the veteran players (like M0nkeyM00n) usually rely on their experience and game sense to compensate for their lack of mechanics, but that clearly isn't the case for him. He can still hang mechanically in any lobby.

Having said that, it's also not a secret he doesn't belong to the highest tier of mechanical players anymore when you consider the likes of Zen, Nwpo, Daniel, etc. When Jstn was at his peak, sometimes it looked like you couldn't get better than that with mechanics in Rocket League. However, that wasn't true then and it surely isn't true now. So that made me wonder how long it will take for the current crop of elite mechanical players to end up where Jstn is right now.

I definitely think the rate of evolution of mechanics has slowed down a bit in the last couple of years. In my opinion, there was a huge mechanical explosion at the beginning of the open era, then a smaller but significant one after Zen's arrival. Since then, it has felt like most of the evolution has happened through refinement of the present era mechanics, which favours the current players.

What do you guys think? When will Zen not be at the highest tier of mechanical players? Are there already players on their way who are showing signs they could usurp the current players mechanically?
