Hey everyone,

I’ve got a 2002 BMW E39 525i and I’m dealing with an intermittent ABS issue. The ABS lights come on randomly, and whenever that happens, I also lose cruise control.

I scanned the car with INPA and it showed an error for the rear right wheel speed sensor. I went ahead and replaced the sensor, but the problem still persists — the ABS lights continue to come on at random.

At this point, I’m starting to suspect the ABS module. What’s the best way to properly diagnose a faulty ABS module on these cars? Any tests or common failure signs I should look for?
