I need Siemens and NI (LabVIEW) environments strictly for studying automation and doing university projects at home, absolutely zero commercial use. I stumbled upon popular activators like Sim EKB and NI License Activator 1.2, but I'm pretty worried about my PC's security.

Has anyone here used these tools on their personal PC for educational purposes? Do you have any trusted sources or tips on how to activate this software without catching any nasty malware?
