I've finally put together something I'm comfortable with but I think I'm leaving some performance on the table and want to sort it out. This is for my desktop setup where I mainly listen to music and play games.
My current chain is: PC → GoXLR → Aiyima D03 → KEF Q1 Metas with an RSL 10e Speedwoofer
I'd prefer to keep the GoXLR since I use it for my mic and enjoy the individual routing and monitoring but I'm wondering if it's hindering the experience since I know it's not a great DAC.
My main gripe is my newest addition the Aiyima D03. It works, but it feels kind of flat and I was wondering if there are better options out there. I've been looking at the SMSL AO200 and the Topping PA5 II as potential replacements, since I've only had it for a few days.
Also open to hearing if my stack order is even set up right. I know the GoXLR's DAC stage isn't exactly great but I'm not sure if adding a standalone DAC in there is worth it at this point. Any reconfiguration suggestions are appreciated since I'm still fairly new to the hobby and learning a ton. appreciate any input!
