Hi guys, i'm new to the sub. Maybe this is a stupid question for some of you, i'm pretty new to the homelabbing and nas usage.

I have a itx nas system which serves me well but i have the itch to upgrade. My current nas specs are;

Intel Core I5 3570 cpu

İntel H61DLB3 motherboard

8 GB DDR3 RAM

2X6TB HDD mirror

2X2TB HDD mirror

120 GB SSD for app usage

32 GB SSD for boot

Truenas 25.10 for OS

I can get a Asus h610i prime motherboard and I3 10100 cpu for like 100 us dollars. I already have 16 gb DDR4 RAM for it.

My use case for nas is pretty basic actually. Some file storage, little bit torrenting for Linux iso's and Jellyfin for media playback. I didn't need encoding actually, but i read it's nice to have.

And also, there's a Realtek NIC in that Asus board. Is that a problem for Truenas usage anymore? I have read a lot of articles about the Realtek NIC being a problem. Is it solved for new Truenas releases?

Thanks for the help and support. I appreciate it.
