So this might sound a little complicated. But basically I started a new job Jan 2026. My assessment period is 24th to the 23rd. I've been getting paid on the 23rd but employer was not reporting until the 24th.
This month my UC statement said full amount was due to me and no wages accounted for. I contacted them immediately and raised it. They asked me to clarify my last few months wages amounts and payment dates (all being the 23rd).
I've now had a letter stating I was overpaid 24th Feb to 23rd march and my wages are showing at over 1000 which they weren't. They combined 2 payments into the same assessment period even tho I was paid on the 23rd of Feb and 23rd of march and have confirmed this with UC. I've raised the issue on my journal pointing this out.
I'm worried this is going to be an ongoing thing so will request my employer pay me on the 24th from now on when they report earning (she's pretty flexible). However this would mean next month it will show as 0 wages and an overpayment.
How can I sort this out please so this doesn't keep happening, it's all so confusing?
