High AmEx points offer vs stick with Marriott AmEx
I have an offer to get the Amex Platinum with the 175k points bonus. I currently focus on using the AmEx Bonvoy Brilliant to maximize Marriott point accumulation. My priority for points is primarily for hotel use and not airfare as we have non-rev privileges and hardly ever pay for a standard airline ticket. My question is - should I take the Platinum card and gain the 175k AmEx points or continue with only the Bonvoy Brilliant? Transfer of Amex points to Marriott points is not the best value from what I’ve figured. Amex points would give a more broad offering for hotels in general I realize but maintaining the titanium Bonvoy status has nice perks also. Anyone else choosing hotel loyalty over AmEx or is the AmEx more valuable in the long run?
